LifeHackLiza tip 9/22/14 - How To Reprogram Your Mind (for Positive Thinking)

If you haven't listened to (or heard of) Brendon Burchard, NOW is the time.

I've never been able to put into words (I know I'm a writer!) how I program my mind for positive thinking... but Brendon can tell you how it's done. Love this guy's outlook on life!

LifeHackLiza tip 9/8/14 - Favorite baby toys so far!

It's a wild roundup of my daughter's favorite toys!

(She's almost 8 months and loves to sit up and squirm - no crawling yet, but maybe some scooting in her future. Below is what has kept her occupied and entertained so far...)

And we can't forget about her jumperoo!
She also loves tags on anything - love these two tag blankets (here and here).

Future ideas:
Custom Doodle Toys from
And recordable stories from
Record-a-Story.com or Hallmark

(Not forgotten on this list - delicious baby feet and the highly amusing and melodic pots + pans!)

LifeHackLiza tip 8/11/14 - Frozen baby food mesh pouches

My daughter is 7 months and just started really teething as she's cutting her first TWO bottom (middle) teeth. So far, not too horrible (for me)! Orajel and baby ibuprofen every once in a while is helping with the discomfort, but our fun favorite has been Munchkin's Fresh Food Feeders!

I fill them with fruit purée and put them in the freezer. (Definitely want to have a towel/bib on hand though!)

LifeHackLiza tip 8/4/14 - My favorite mascara

I just ordered two more of my favorite mascara! Maybelline New York Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof Mascara, in Very Black and Brownish Black.

I love the curvy shape of the brush and the clump-free natural look (plus length/definition) it gives me... and the price isn't bad either!

On Amazon of course!

LifeHackLiza tip 7/21/14 - Dry Shampoo

Ok, HOW have I not yet discovered DRY SHAMPOO?

As a nighttime showerer, this has totally changed my morning for the better! Just a few sprays at the roots and a light mist over my strands does the job (with a few energetic hair flips)... and, it leaves my hair smelling like a salon style.

Looking forward to trying out a few new varieties- will keep you posted.

LifeHackLiza tip 7/7/14 - Ella's Kitchen Baby Food

I'll admit it...
I love babyfood.
I mean, I love to eat it myself - or at least sneak a taste from the baby!

My personal favorite so far is Ella's Kitchen. It's gotta taste so delicious for babies. Sweet taste and a super smooth puree texture. Once my daughter has tried an individual food like apples, I'll try an Ella's Kitchen combination like Apples + Bananas. Really fun combos and all colors of the rainbow - excited for her to expand her refined palate and try parsnips and rutabagas! Plus, they are pretty reasonably priced (on Amazon and at Target as well as Whole Foods) and save me a lot of prep time...

LifeHackLiza tip 6/23/14 - Simba Baby Scissors

Hi!
I'm back - my daughter was born almost six months ago and I'm happy to be returning to more regular posts (a few a month)! I will say, though, expect a lot of quick baby tips - here we go...

Best Baby Nail Scissors
Yes, as advertised, they are definitely easier to control than a fingernail clipper (even the cute ones with the flashlight)... and they're from Japan - how could I resist?!
